My name is John, although everyone has always called me Jack for as long as I can remember and I still don't know why. I'm a 21 year old Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Cambridge, I was born in London and brought up in Leicester.
I spent my early years playing rugby, but when I turned 13 my life long obsession with the teenage mutant ninja turtles manifested itself in my taking up Muay Thai. After a few years I branched out and started training in Sambo as well and when I started my degree I also took up judo so I could compete for my University. Over the years I've competed in mma, Sambo, judo and Thai boxing.
It wasn't until late 2005 that I realised that weight training could make me a better martial artist. Since then I've developed an unhealthy love of ripping, crushing, bending and tearing stuff as well as training in powerlifting. Earlier this year I competed for the first time in powerlifting and hope to one day be able to lift some semi-respectable weights.
